About FertiCheck

The FertilCheck male and female fertility tests have been developed to help you and your partner take control of your fertility journey by measuring certain factors that affect fertility in the privacy of your own home.

Like so many couples you want to know whether there may be any obvious factors affecting your fertility. If you have been trying for a while you may also want an indication about what is preventing you and your partner from conceiving. Is it you, your partner or both of you? Men now account for 32% of fertility issues, women 30%, 17% both of you and 21% is unexplained (Source:http://www.hfea.gov.uk/). Unexplained fertility means that none of the fertility tests peformed in the fertility clinics have shown any reason why you and your partner can't have children.

Fertility questions and concerns create anxiety for both of you and we know that for men particularly, facing clinic appointments is not very appealing, and many men simply skip appointments. FertilCheck is a first step towards a better understanding of your fertility and it reduces anxiety and embarssment since the test can be conducted at home.

The FertilCheck Male Fertility Test is an easy to use device that measures sperm numbers. The test can be used in the privacy of your own home and the results are delivered in around 15 minutes.

Sperm Numbers are evaluated by measuring the concentration of sperm that are present in a mans semen sample. The test will show whether the numbers sperm are above or below the normally expected levels needed to reach and fertilise the egg. The kit contains two tests and should only be used in conjunction with the instructions within the packaging.

The FertilCheck Female Test is an easy-to-use, one-step device that measures the quantity of healthy eggs women have left. This measure is known as Ovarian Reserve.

Ovarian Reserve is measured by picking up the level of a particular hormone in your urine. This hormone is called Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and gives an indication of the quantity of healthy eggs you have remaining. If you are producing too much FSH it is likely that your ovaries are not responding to the hormone and your ability to conceive may be decreased.

The test will show whether the FSH level is above healthy cut-off levels. The test should only be used in conjunction with the instructions within the packaging.
