What happens if the tests show we have fertility issues?

If either of the FertilCheck tests show you could have fertility issues, you should contact your GP to discuss the results and work out the next steps to get the best treatment and solutions for you as a couple.

We have our own information line that you can call for immediate help and support - just call 0870 770 5223. Or alternatively you can email us directly with your question or concerns.

In addition, there are many experienced and understanding counselling networks, information packed websites and support groups that can help and give rational and sympathetic advice. For example;

Infertility Network UK :

What happens if the results show no issues for both of us?

If the results suggest there is no issue with sperm numbers or FSH levels then we suggest that you continue trying to conceive. take particular care to have intercourse at the right time in each cycle by using our babystart ovulation predictor tests.

However, if you (the woman) fall into any of the following groups then you should consult your GP anyway as there may be other factors affecting your fertility:

  • you are under 35 and you have been trying for over 12 months
  • you are over 35 and have been trying for over 6 months
  • you have no period or have irregular periods (cycles longer than 35 days or less than 21 days).

Remember it takes most couples many months to get pregnant and it may just be a question of time.
